Hydraulic Mechanic

WellGear are looking for a suitable candidate to join there fast growing and dynamic business. The successful candidate will perform a vital role in the growth of a motivated close-knit team.

Role:

The successful candidates’ role will be to perform maintenance duties on a wide variety of equipment at WellGear’s Drumoak base. On a day-to-day basis the role will be maintaining a range of Hydraulic equipment, engines, rotating equipment, and Pumps. The right person must be self-motivated and enjoy working on such equipment.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Servicing and general maintenance of equipment
  • Overhaul of equipment
  • Assembly of new build equipment
  • Working with the maintenance management system
  • Lead and work with trainee/apprentices
  • Perform occasional site visits (onshore/offshore) for breakdowns or as required.

This would suit a candidate with the following qualities:

  • Experience of hydraulics essential
  • Hands on approach with a can-do attitude
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Takes pride in their work.
  • Self-motivated, driven and determined.
  • Prior experience of drilling maintenance and equipment (Pumps, rotaries, hydraulic powerpacks, etc)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Experience

Previous experience in a similar role is essential.

The following or equivalent courses are desirable.

  • Hydraulics Level 1 & 2
  • Hydraulic Hose Assembly Course
