WellGear is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Graduate Engineer to join our fast growing and dynamic business.

Who are we looking for?

This role would suit someone who has recently graduated and is looking for a hands-on, practical job which provides great job satisfaction. We’re looking for someone who is keen to undertake a lot of travel, gain plenty experience, and is motivated by the idea of personal development and career progression.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in the growth of a motivated close-knit team.

The Role:

Gaining hands-on experience is critical to any graduate role, and so you will initially be part of the field pool, spending six – 12 months working alongside the crews on operations throughout Europe.
Following this, you will shadow one of WellGear’s Project Managers as you progress towards the role of Project Engineer.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Performing offshore site surveys
  • Setting up projects in terms of equipment, people, and operation
  • Working alongside clients to advise on operations.
  • Overseeing yard rig ups
  • Procuring third party equipment
  • Managing equipment design and/or modification
  • Procuring project equipment
  • Utilising our online Project ERP (equipment management system)
  • Working offshore
  • Travelling to sites in Europe


We're looking for candidates who:

  • Has a practical hands-on approach
  • Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail
  • Takes pride in their work
  • Are computer literate, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Is self-motivated, and a strong team player
  • Can demonstrate a positive, “can-do” attitude


Knowledge of the following would be beneficial:

  • Hydraulic Workover, Snubbing, Coil Tubing, Pumping
  • Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
  • Lifting Operations


Education

A Mechanical Engineering degree is preferred but is not essential

Salary 25-35k
