Yard Operative
WellGear is looking to recruit a proactive and enthusiastic Yard Operative to join our Drumoak facility team.
The role:
The role involves various responsibilities aimed at maintaining the facility's smooth operation. The ideal candidate should be a team player with a strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to different tasks.
Key responsibilities:
- Yard Organizing:
- Keep the yard tidy, organized, and equipment in the correct location.
- Forklift Driving (Up to 18t):
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts.
- Perform general yard movements of company equipment.
- Container Packing & Unloading:
- Securely load containers for offshore transport.
- Unpack returned containers and store equipment.
- Use the company ERP system to record goods accurately.
- Housekeeping:
- Tidy up the yard & workshop and keep workspaces clean.
- Van Driving:
- Drive company van for local deliveries and collections.
- Ensure safe, timely and accurate transportation of goods.
- Painting:
- Perform paint repairs on equipment.
- Ensure all equipment is painted to a high standard.
- Washing Equipment:
- Clean equipment thoroughly in the wash bay.
- Maintain cleanliness standards for all equipment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in yard operations or related roles.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating forklifts with up to B3 license. (Training will be provided if required)
- Basic knowledge of ERP systems for inventory management
Working Hours:
40 hours per week with regular overtime available.
